ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities.
Founded in 1930, ITE is a volunteer-driven association of more than 18,000 engineers, planners, consultants, educators, researchers, technologists, and students working in more than 78 countries.
ITE Greater Vancouver Section is affiliated with the ITE Canada District. We provide opportunities for professional development and community building within British Columbia’s Lower Mainland. We host monthly technical meetings throughout the year and host an award dinner and Annual General Meeting towards the end of the year. We are also very active in working with the UBC Student Chapter in putting on the annual Industry Night at UBC.
The Greater Vancouver Section was awarded the Section Activities Award by ITE Canada District for seven consecutive years, from 2004 to 2011.
