Membership Types

ITE offers several categories of membership:

  • Member: for any person in the active practice of transportation engineering or a transportation-related field
  • Student: membership is free for full-time students in a graduate or undergraduate program at a school of recognized standing
  • Young Professional: ITE offers significantly reduced and graduated pricing from ages 22 to 29
  • Fellow: a category for members who have made significant contributions to both their profession and leadership through ITE. Application required.
  • Retired: Application required.
  • Agency: Discounted pricing on individual ITE memberships for public agencies with at least five members. Application required.

Managing your ITE membership

Your membership and dues are managed directly by ITE International. In order to provide you with timely service, you need to keep your personal information (especially your email address) accurate, complete, and up-to-date. This can be easily completed online through the ITE website:

  • Go to ITE Directory: Profile update
  • Click on “Membership”. This will take you to the login field where you will need to enter the following information:
    • Login: this is your ITE membership number
    • Password: the first six (6) letters of your last name.
  • Once you have logged in, find your profile and update any relevant areas as required.
