The Saskatchewan Section serves members throughout the province with the majority of members located in Regina and Saskatoon. The section holds regular events twice a year in the spring and fall in either city or at an alternate location. The geographic separation presents challenges in coordinating events but most sessions are well attended. We also provide collaboration through hosting ITE webinars, conferences and workshops.
The Saskatchewan Section is proud to have fostered prominent ITE leaders. Alf Guebert, who was the founding President of the Saskatchewan Section in 1990 and served until 1994, was also CITE President (1997-1998) and ITE International President (2008). Current ITE International President, Bruce Belmore, was Saskatchewan Section President in 2001 and 2002. The SK Section was also very proud to show the delegates of ITE Canada our prairie charm when we hosted the Annual Conference in 2005 in Saskatoon and 2015 in Regina. In 2021, ITE Saskatchewan saw its the first all-female board in the Section’s history and the first in the Canadian District.
