Presentation Details
Title: Winnipeg’s Leading Pedestrian Interval Program
Steve will talk about the history and progress of the leading pedestrian interval (LPI) program in Winnipeg. Having both planned for LPIs from a road safety standpoint and installed them onto traffic signal timing equipment, Steve has several different perspectives to share about the LPI program.
Speaker: Steve Wood, M.Sc., P.Eng.
Steve Wood is a Transportation Planning Engineer at the City of Winnipeg with 12 years of experience. After working at MORR Transportation Consulting, he joined the City in 2020 and has held positions in the Traffic Signals and Road Safety Branches. He specializes in traffic operations and traffic data management.
