Contribute to our City by joining the Infrastructure Division as a Traffic Technician. As part of the Integrated Transportation team, your key responsibilities include data collection, transportation asset management, traffic operations, safety assessments, conceptual design of multi-modal facilities, development approval support and a focus on the planning and development of capital projects.
The City seeks an individual with a Civil Engineering Technology or Transportation Engineering Diploma to work collaboratively with the public, other City departments, consultants, developers and external agencies to make our transportation network safer and efficient. Professional Technologist certification (AScT) is preferred. Experience with traffic projections, capacity analysis, traffic control operations and design, active transportation/transit accommodation and traffic safety are considered assets. As a strong communicator, team builder, and problem-solver you will deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
