Are you a licensed Professional Engineer with a background in transportation systems and extensive experience in leading the planning, design, construction and operation of a wide variety of transportation-related projects? If so, consider this exciting opportunity with Transportation Services!
Reporting to the Traffic Systems Operations Senior Engineer, the Transportation Engineer (Traffic Signals) will coordinate a team of project leads, analysts, and technologists. You will make use of engineering principles and project management skills to lead multidisciplinary traffic signal projects in the following areas: Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), cycling infrastructure, Transit Signal Priority (TSP), Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption (EVP), LRT and Rail crossings, corridor signal retiming and coordination, road-user detection, network optimization, traffic analysis, modelling, and traffic controller testing and coding.
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
A Qualified List of candidates will be established for Transportation Engineer Transportation Services position in the Transportation Services, Division, and will be in effect for 24 months from the date the list is created. Qualified candidates on the list may be considered when filling future permanent and/or temporary vacancies in this position.
Notes:
Salary: $93,734 – $123,449 per annum
