Invistec’s Team continues to grow! Invistec’s Calgary Office is currently seeking a skilled leader for our Transportation Planning Group. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of progressively responsible consulting experience. They will bring a portfolio with a range of transportation planning and engineering projects working with public and private sector clients. Through sharing examples from their career, the candidate will demonstrate creativity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be constantly driven to achieve results. Invistec’s success has been built on teamwork and you must have a demonstrated ability to function at many levels including as a project manager, team member, supporter, and resource. You have an innate ability to present technical solutions to complex problems and gain support from clients and approving authorities.

Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering with coursework in transportation
• P.Eng. registration with APEGA.
• A portfolio of diverse transportation planning/engineering experience
• Must have extensive experience in writing and reviewing Transportation Impact Analysis
• Land development industry experience will be an asset
• Formal project management experience, training or certification is an asset.
• Graduate level coursework in Transportation Engineering and Planning is desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Be part of the Executive Team to drive the growth and expansion of Invistec’s transportation group across provincial and national markets
• Represent Invistec at provincial and national conferences, as well as key networking events
• Lead, mentor, support growth and development of our transportation planning group in Calgary
• Oversee a range of multi-model transportation projects and studies including planning, design, and implementation
• Supervise the preparation of proposals in response to competitive and sole source requests including project cost estimates, project plans, scope definition, and communication plans
• Project management including internal and external resources, project scope, schedule, budget, and communication.
• Ongoing proactive communication with clients and ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
• Review contributions from other disciplines to ensure alignment with the project as a whole.
• Support business development through client meetings, professional conferences, and attendance at industry events.
• Maintain and build strong relationships including existing clients, prospective clients, public sector officials, contractors, and other professionals.
