This annual award showcases excellent technical achievement in transportation planning and/or engineering. This award recognizes the high quality of projects within the transportation industry in Canada.
To honour one of the technical leaders in the industry, the Technical Liaison Committee (TLC) named this award the Stan Teply Outstanding Technical Project Award. Dr. Teply had an extensive and varied career in transportation engineering and municipal management, industry, consulting, and academia spanning decades. Recipients will be presented with the Stan Teply Award at the ITE Canada Excellence in Transportation Awards luncheon at the Annual Conference.
As of 2024, the Stan Teply Outstanding Technical Project Award winner will be selected from the Canadian submissions for the ITE Transportation Achievement Awards. All nominations must meet the submission requirements and judging criteria provided by ITE International for the ITE Transportation Achievement Awards as outlined here.
To be considered for the Stan Teply Outstanding Technical Project Award, you must submit a nomination to the ITE Transportation Achievement Awards.
Project nominations are open until March 1.
