CITE acknowledges that the organization’s name may imply inherently that all members are engineers. In fact, membership in ITE is open to a diverse cross-section including engineers, planners, technologists, among other transportation specialists working in the field.
This policy is intended to outline the expectation of membership representation and actions to be taken should a member be found to either misrepresent their qualifications or breach their obligations as a member as described in ITE’s Canon of Ethics.
