TASK A: Job Ad Review

You are finalizing an ITE Canada Job Board ad.

Review this Sample Job Board Ad and identify at least 4-6 errors or areas of improvement that you would fix or confirm before publishing. Assume that the paragraphs of text and details following were provided by the employer and are correct.

1) Create Calendar Event

Go to itecanada.org/wp-login.php?action=register to create a user account using a valid email address. This is free and only takes a minute to complete. Open the link you receive in your email inbox to set a password and create your account. Log in and validate your account.

Once you have a verified account, go to itecanada.org/eventlist/community/add/. Log in again if prompted.

On this Add New Event page, create the draft event on behalf of the organizer “ITE Mars Section”. Include all details you feel are important to provide to registrants in the Event Description and format this as you see fit.

You do not need to add anything for the following fields:

Event Categories
Event Tags
Virtual Event
Event Website

IMPORTANT: Put your name at the start of the “Event Title” field.

TASK C: Social Media & Design

This task is estimated to take approximately 15-20 minutes.

We’re going to help the ITE Mars Section spread the word on social media and encourage people to register for their event.

This fictional event was intended for members only but there is one registrant who is not a current ITE member. It’s possible they were never a member or their membership lapsed and they didn’t realize it. They can either renew their membership or join ITE here to keep their event registration or we can cancel their registration and provide a refund.
