Join us in welcoming Breanna, who shares the message below with our membership:
Dear ITE Members,
I am very excited to be joining the ITE Canada Executive as Secretary and grateful for the opportunity to serve the organization. I am passionate about creating opportunities for members to engage, share knowledge, and grow professionally, and I look forward to supporting students and emerging professionals within our industry.
ITE has been a major part of my professional journey for more than a decade. I began attending meetings as a student and have since remained involved at all levels of the organization. During my time with the Greater Vancouver Section, I helped support member engagement and rebuild momentum following the pandemic through innovative programming, stronger collaboration across Sections, and expanded opportunities for connection. I recently supported the establishment of the BCIT Student Chapter, reflecting my commitment to helping grow and strengthen the future of our profession.
Professionally, I am a transportation engineer with experience spanning transportation planning, traffic engineering, active transportation, and roadway design. My work focuses on developing practical, people-focused transportation solutions that improve safety, mobility, and connectivity within communities. I have had the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage a wide range of projects, balancing technical analysis with collaboration, public engagement, and long-term community vision.
One of the things I value most about ITE is the people. The mentorship, encouragement, and relationships I have built through this organization have had a lasting impact on me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back in this new role.
As Secretary, I am excited to support ITE Canada, and I look forward to connecting with many of you in the coming months and years.
Breanna Jackson, P.Eng.
