Our popular video series that seeks to remove barriers to employment within our profession, Career Connect with Kate, returns with a new episode featuring a unique collection of guests – several staff members from the City of Brampton Transportation Planning Department’s Active Transportation Section.
This is the first time Career Connect has brought together people working in the same group to share insights and perspectives from both sides of the hiring equation. The wide-ranging conversation touches on different paths to employment in a municipal department, how to tell your story and demonstrate soft skills in your resume and cover letter, and unique ways of networking through organizations like ITE Canada as well as LinkedIn.
