ITE Manitoba will be hosting a luncheon Tuesday, September 17, featuring Dustin Booy, Executive Director of Highway Engineering Services at Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI). Dustin will be presenting on a few of Manitoba’s ongoing road safety initiatives.

Presentation Title: Road Safety at MTI
The presentation will give an overview of the June 15, 2023 collision at the intersection of PTH 1 and PTH 5 outside of Carberry, MB and the status of the resulting intersection improvement project. In addition, the presentation will describe the framework of Manitoba’s road safety strategy and information sharing partnerships with Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Speaker Bio – Dustin Booy, M. Eng., P. Eng.
Dustin is the Executive Director of Highway Engineering Services at Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI). He has over 20 years of professional experience in highway engineering, construction, project management, program delivery and leadership in both the consulting industry and the public service. Dustin is leading the implementation of Manitoba’s Road Safety Strategy at MTI and has an interest in systemic safety planning, data driven decision making and interjurisdictional considerations and partnerships.
