TOPICS AND SPEAKERS:
- York University – Transit Management Headway Tool, Speaker: Ghazaleh Mohseni holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering and serves as R&D Director at Interactive-OR (IOR), where she leads the development of AI- and optimization-driven decision-support systems for transportation planning and operations. Her work integrates machine learning, operations research, and large-scale mobility data to build practical analytical tools that support cities and agencies in improving network design, service reliability, and operational performance.
- TTC Preparations for FIFA: What the TTC is doing to support transit operations during the world cup. Measures included transit priority measures, transit signal priority, special projects to support the capacity, and more! Speaker: Lauren Wilcox is a Transportation Specialist with the TTC in the Transportation Planning and Engineering department. She previously worked in private consulting, focusing on strategic decision-making and business case analysis within the transportation sector. Lauren has a passion for surface transit (especially streetcars!) and enjoys the challenge of improving transit performance in urban environments with multiple competing demands.
