Harsha is a Civil Engineer with experience in transportation engineering, infrastructure, research, and sustainability. He currently works as a Transit Infrastructure Technician at Halifax Transit for the Halifax Regional Municipality and has previously worked in airport infrastructure and research work, contributing to projects focused on sustainable transportation and emission modelling.

Harsha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Civil and Resource Engineering from Dalhousie University, where his graduate research focused on transportation emissions, vehicle electrification, grid decarbonization and developing tools to support sustainable transportation planning including scenario testing for hydrogen vehicles and technology . Through his academic and professional experience, Harsha has developed a passion for using transportation engineering and research to address real-world challenges and improve how people move within their communities.

Harsha is passionate about professional development, knowledge sharing, and creating meaningful opportunities for students and young professionals to connect with the transportation industry. As a candidate for Vice President of ITE Atlantic, he wants to help build an ITE community where members don’t just attend events, but leave with new connections, new knowledge, and new opportunities. He hopes to bridge the gap between the classroom and the profession by creating stronger connections between students, emerging professionals, experienced practitioners, industry, and academia. Harsha believes that the strength of ITE Atlantic lies in its people and his goal is to help create more opportunities for those people to learn from one another, get involved, and grow together. He always believed in stronger mentorship and peer knowledge sharing.

Outside of work, Harsha enjoys being as event emcee, learning music and singing, participating in multi cultural and community events, playing badminton, chess including mentoring and coaching my juniors regarding career and skill development.

Riley is a Traffic Engineer with the City of Charlottetown’s Public Works Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

In his time with the city, Riley has worked across a broad range of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. His experience includes transportation planning, traffic and road safety analysis, and the planning and delivery of major roadway and active transportation projects. A significant part of his role also involves development review, where he works with developers, consultants, and other City departments to assess transportation impacts, access, site circulation, and infrastructure requirements associated with new development. He has also led the development of corridor master plans and other strategic documents.

Through his work, Riley enjoys collaborating with professionals across the public and private sectors and is particularly interested in how transportation planning and infrastructure can help communities respond to growth.

In his personal time, Riley can usually be found running, golfing, or spending time with family and friends.
