NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of Members of ITE Canada (incorporated as CANADIAN INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS / INSTITUT CANADIEN DES INGÉNIEURS EN TRANSPORTS) will be held via video conference on the 3rd day of April 2024, at 2:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time, to:
- Receive and consider the proposed by-law changes;
- Ratify all acts, by-laws and proceedings of the directors and officers;
Members who are unable to attend the meeting in person are requested to date, sign and return the form of proxy (below). To be effective, the completed form of proxy must be received by the Secretary of ITE Canada not less than 48 hours before the time fixed for the meeting.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
In the Fall of 2023, the ITE Canada Executive recommended introducing an additional executive role to the Executive Committee, separating the current Secretary-Treasurer position into two distinct roles. Each new executive member would either serve as Treasurer or Secretary for a period of two years. Starting from 2026, the Past President, President, and Vice President would transition to one-year terms.
The ITE Canada Board of Directors approved this change on December 6, 2023. As a result, the ITE Canada By-laws (titled “CANADIAN INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS By-law No. 1”) need to be revised to reflect these changes. The purpose of this Special Meeting is to approve the proposed by-law changes.
