ITE University of Windsor

ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities.

Founded in 1930, ITE is a volunteer-driven association of more than 18,000 engineers, planners, consultants, educators, researchers, technologists, and students working in more than 78 countries.

ITE University of Windsor Student Chapter is a student community who are interested in exploring or aspiring to be future transportation professionals. We are affiliated with the ITE Southwestern Ontario Section and ITE Canada District. We provide opportunities for learning and networking, including connection to the local, regional, national, and international community of transportation professionals.

The ITE student chapter at the University of Windsor aims to promote the field of transportation to the student community, attract students to the transportation engineering profession, and build connections with academic and industry partners through the larger ITE community.

The University of Windsor is home to two growing research groups, the Cross Border Institute and the Transportation Systems Innovation labs, which provide students opportunities to explore a wide array of transportation-related topics.

Our ITE student chapter will contribute to providing students information on various topics of interest in transportation engineering through seminar series featuring speakers from various industry and academic backgrounds, collaborative events with other institutions, social and networking events, and organizing technical tours to highlight various areas of transportation engineering.

Membership is open to and encouraged for both graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Windsor.
