ITE Lakehead University

Situated in Thunder Bay, the Lakehead University (LU) Student Chapter is the home for students interested in a career in transportation in Northern Ontario.

It is anticipated that transportation engineers will be in high demand with the development of new, innovative transportation technologies. One of the primary objectives for the student chapter is to promote the transportation profession to all civil engineering students (undergraduate and graduate) within LU, as well as Northern Ontario. Similarly, we aim to correspond with other disciplines to facilitate a wide range of transportation-related topics. Finally, another major objective is to establish stronger relationships with public and private transportation agencies to connect students with current professionals and practitioners. Members of the student chapter are aiming to accomplish these objectives by organizing engaging activities, presentations from guest speakers, and social events.
